It is A.D. 47 and the Celtic tribes in Dorset hear disturbing rumours:
In the last four years the Roman Army has conquered all lands and tribes to the East...

Who do these invaders think they are?

You will learn how to uphold the 'light of Rome' with the new commander, Valerian.
You will learn to be a Centurion in the Army with the help of the veteran, Butus.
Whilst the new recruit Tiro confronts the bigotry and selfishness all around...is this what Rome stands for?

What of the people of Poole Bay?

In a break from harvesting and inter-tribal fighting you will meet the leader, Commix, and his daughter Freya.
Whilst they seek peace terms with the invaders the Old Hag is determined to see the clan defend themselves, to the last man and woman.

What will happen when these two cultures collide?

The Second Legion of the Roman Army will invade Baiter Park, Poole, Dorset from 22nd July to 9th August 2009.

The camp is open every day except Mondays & Tuesdays when the Centurions will be building roads, subjugating uprisings and besieging unworthy opponents.
